Job Summary:

The IT Analyst has a well-rounded technology background to support our client in three general areas, (1) IT/Helpdesk, (2) Information Assurance, and (3) ADPE Asset Management. This versatile position provides expertise to the squadrons and group in these three areas. Provides consultation, subject matter expertise, and advice to customer and/or company. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment required. Position is located in Bellevue, NE.

IT/Helpdesk Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responds to assigned trouble tickets
  • Builds / maintains PCs, installs /maintains other equipment
  • Investigates and resolves significant issues related to network, IT infrastructure, security, and/or software/hardware performance.
  • Plans, develops, configures, installs, and maintains network systems
  • Analyzes LAN/WAN utilization statistics through data collection and performance measures to ensure smooth, reliable, and robust operation to include classified and unclassified networks (NIPR/SIPR/JWICS/NSA-Net)
  • Installs, configures, and troubleshoots network and application server hardware, network operating system software, and peripheral network equipment, cabling system, network interface cards, modems, multiplexers, and concentrators
  • Ensures current network software products are compatible with system configurations and ensures operability, efficiency, and compliance with existing standards
  • Performs system backups to ensure expedient restoration of the database for the respective network equipment
  • Manages user network accounts, resets network system passwords, and resolves firewall issues
  • Provides solutions and recommended courses of action necessary to avoid difficulties such as enhancing, replacing, or modifying existing programs or applications
  • Supports the squadron with other IT needs as requested

ADPE Asset Management Roles and Responsibilities

  • Tracks life of system equipment, prepares and provides analyses to determine future maintenance and replacement costs to help justify budget submissions
  • Executes asset management in accordance with established governing policies
  • Assists in development and maintenance of ADPE asset management plan
  • Assists with oversight and accountability of the procurement, warehousing, shipping and receiving of Data Processing Equipment to multiple delivery locations
  • Initiates and tracks ADPE purchases through AFWAY
  • Turns in excess ADPE to DRMO
  • Coordinates with vendors to acquire warranty replacement parts
  • Ensures updates to databases of record reflect relocations, custodial changes and new equipment
  • Keeps office space tidy and well organized
  • Supports the client with other ADPE needs, as requested

Information Assurance Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supports squadron and group with information assurance compliance and initiatives
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ability to support the process
  • Supports technical vulnerability assessments, assists system administrators to apply security patches and validate changes
  • Evaluates potential IA security risks and recommends corrective actions
  • Provides other IA/Security support, as required


  • 10 years general experience with 5 years directly related to position requirements
  • Working knowledge of Asset Management principles and DoD process and policies
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment to accomplish squadron goals and objectives
  • A valid driver’s license and valid vehicle insurance and registration
  • Active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance
  • Ability to successfully pass a CI polygraph
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Maintains currency of required ADLS and/or INSCOM trainings


  • Associate’s Degree in Applied Computer / Computer Science or related field
